5 Things to keep in mind if you're just starting out as an ARTIST

1. COMMUNICATE and get things in writing.

2. Make sure it's a HEALTHY DEAL. It does not have to be a 50-50 but NEVER settle for a 70-30.

3. Take prompt action when your work is infringed or used without your consent.

4. Don't DIY anything related to a contract. Get sound professional advise.

5. Have THE CONVERSATION. Talk about payments, advances, recoupments. Do not delay these conversations for later.
